Serenity Place, a newly constructed neighborhood in Henderson, Nevada has named all of its streets after Pokemon.
The Pokemon referenced include classic Gen 1 Pokemon such as Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, and Snorlax, resulting in names like “Charmander Lane” and “Jigglypuff Place”. The growing neighborhood had been in need of names for its roads, which can be a daunting challenge due to the regulations involved in construction.
In an interview with KLAS 8 News NOW, Harmony Homes LLC Construction Manager Andrea Miller explained that her children are big Pokemon fans, and she was inspired by them to use Pokemon names for the streets. Jigglypuff Place, the centerpiece of the neighborhood, is named after her children’s’ favorite Pokemon.
