Room Full Of Kids Terrified When Theater Accidentally Plays Horror Film Instead Of Detective Pikachu

Detective Pikachu is finally out in theaters, attracting huge audiences of adults and children alike. One theater however received a rather nasty surprise at their screening of the film, especially for its younger viewers.

At the Guzzo Marché Central theater in Montreal, a room full of kids waiting to see Detective Pikachu were instead treated to a screening of a horror film called The Curse Of La Llorona. As recounted by Ryan George from Screenrant, the chaos began when trailers for other spooky movies like Annabelle Comes Home and Child’s Play started playing, leading into the La Llorona’s terrifying opening sequence before the movie was shut off.

Although the audience was quickly moved to the right theater, the damage had already been done. Many of the kids (and possibly some adults as well) had already started screaming and crying from the horror trailers alone. Hopefully, Detective Pikachu was worth getting traumatized over.
