Last Week, Game Freak was hit by a massive data breach which reportedly included several internal design materials for past Pokemon games.
Among the leaked materials is allegedly the source code for Pokemon X and Y, revealing a ton of scrapped content and designs. That initial leak seemingly included confirmation that a Mega Evolution for the classic Gen I Pokemon Jynx was planned, but didn’t make it to the final release.
Mega Jynx was long rumored to have been considered for Pokemon X and Y, even before the leak came about. The Pokemon Company had filed a trademark for Jynx alongside other Mega Evolution capable Pokemon prior to the games’ launch, and it’s potential cry was datamined from Pokemon HOME. Nobody knew what this discarded Mega Evolution could have looked like, until now.
Fans digging through the source code have finally found what appears to be a concept art for Mega Jynx. This design has a blue dress and much longer hair, bringing to mind the Disney princess Elsa from Frozen. You can find the image via a link below, although it might not stay up for long:
As with all reports of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
