About five years after Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, some updated artwork has ignited hopes that a new Crash Bandicoot racing game could be in the works.
The artwork in question is a now removed social media banner used by Beenox, the developers of Nitro Fueled and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. The banner was used to commemorate the company’s 25th anniversary, and included an image of Crash Bandicoot riding a cart. Eagle-eyed fans realized that the artwork depicted Crash’s new design from Crash Bandicoot 4, which was released after Nitro Fueled, which led to speculation that it was a tease for a brand new entry in the racing spin-off series.
This speculation comes shortly after rumors surfaced that Crash would be receiving his own Netflix animated series, possibly suggesting that a broader push for the character is coming after being neglected for all these years. As with all speculation of this nature however, we caution readers to take this with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
