Nintendo has launched a website where users can check which Switch 1 games work on Switch 2.
By visiting the website, users can type in the name of any Switch 1 software to check whether it works the same on Switch 2, or if there are any known issues. The search applies to both digital and physical versions of games. Games will either be listed as “Supported”, “Incompatible” or “Unsupported”, with the final category usually explaining what aspects of the game does not work as intended on Switch 2.
Switch 2 players who are uncertain about whether a particular Switch 1 game they are interested in is compatible with their console may wish to use this site before making any purchases.
