Taobao, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in China, has reportedly removed product listings for Super Mario Maker 2.
The reason behind the removal of these listings is unknown. The first Nintendo Switch game that was victim to the removals was Animal Crossing: New Horizons. There could be a similar fear with Super Mario Maker 2 as it is a game where you can make and post your very own levels. The Chinese authorities may be taking this as a preventive measure before offensive messages appear from the game.
