Animal Crossing: New Horizons Hashtag Unbanned On Weibo

A couple of days ago, Chinese social media Weibo banned the Animal Crossing: New Horizons hashtag following the game’s ban in China.

Last week, Chinese gamers were dealt a painful blow after Animal Crossing: New Horizons was confiscated from store shelves and the game was effectively banned in China.

Tencent, the company in charge of distributing Nintendo products in mainland China, has launched an official account on social media platform Weibo.

Pokemon fans in mainland China were shocked and angry to find a knockoff Pokemon game advertised on the starting screen of the Weibo smartphone app.
