Tarantula And Other Rare Insect Spawn Rates Nerfed For Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Dataminer Ninji has shared another interesting finding regarding the recent update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

According to Ninji, the spawn rates for various insects and bugs have been adjusted significantly by the update. Most notably, the spawn rates for many valuable rare bugs such as the Peacock Butterfly, Emperor Butterfly, Atlas Moth, and even the infamous Tarantula have all been reduced.

Much like with the reduction of interest rates, many fans have voiced their displeasure at these changes. As you may recall, many players have been relying on these insects to earn large amounts of bells. Particularly, the reduction in Tarantula spawn rates combined with the advent of Water BugsĀ will make it that much more difficult for them to farm Tarantulas on Mystery Island for cash.
