The Cancer Patient Who Played Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Early Has Passed Away

Several days ago, we shared with you how Chris Taylor, a three-time cancer survivor, was granted the wish to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate early by the nice folks at Nintendo of America.

It’s been a week since Taylor had played Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with his friends and family. Today, we have received the unfortunate news that Chris Taylor has passed away due to cancer. A few days before he passed away, Taylor shared some photos of him playing the game with his friends.

We’d like to send our heartfelt condolences to Taylor’s family and friends. And we’d also like to thank Nintendo of America for helping fulfill Taylor’s final wish.
