The Pokemon Company recently published an article to share more information on the upcoming Steel-type move naming contest for Pokemon Sword and Shield organized by CoroCoro Comics.
Japanese users were surprised to find something interesting in the footnotes of the article. In the footnotes, The Pokemon Company referred to Pokemon Sword and Shield as “ポケモン SW・SH“, which could be translated to English as Pokemon SWSH.
This means The Pokemon Company has acknowledged Pokemon SWSH as an official abbreviation of Pokemon Sword and Shield, so use it to your heart’s content!
