A ton of exciting announcements have been dropped for the upcoming The World Ends With You: The Animation, including a reveal of the anime’s opening as well as the official broadcast date for the first episode.
The official Twitter account for the anime announced that the first episode will be premiering on the 9th of April at 1.25 AM JST on TBS and MBS’s ‘Super Animeism’ programming block.
Also revealed was the opening theme for the anime, TEENAGE CITY RIOT by ALI featuring rapper R-Shitei, along with the opening animation itself and another key visual. Check it all out below:
Lastly, a preview event of the first episode as well as an art exhibition were announced, and that it was planned “for fans all over the world to enjoy”. Specific details on when it will be held and how to participate will be revealed in late February.
