Following the announcement earlier this year, the Pokemon Company has opened the Sandshrew Playground Park in Japan’s Tottori Prefecture.
The park is located in the Tottori Sand Dunes Children’s Country theme park, and features a number of playground equipment and statues featuring Sandshrew and its Alolan Variant, as well as other Ground-Type Pokemon.
Following its opening, visitors to the park will have a higher chance to encounter Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew while playing Pokemon GO, as well as the opportunity to take AR pictures of them using GO Snapshot. In addition, structures in the park will appear as Pokestops in Pokemon GO, allowing players to get postcards and other items.
