Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter Switch 2 Version Confirmed, Demo Released

Falcom has announced new details for Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter.

Firstly, a Switch 2 version of the game has been confirmed. It will be digital only, with “no plans” for a physical release. New feaures include higher resolution and frame rates, as well as better load times over the Switch 1 version. Players who purchase the Switch 1 version can also upgrade to the Switch 2 version via a paid upgrade pack.

Secondly, a free demo for the game has also been released on the Switch eshop. Players will be able to go through the game’s prologue, with save data carrying over to the full version when it releases on September 19th 2025.

This is a free demo version of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, a remake of the iconic first chapter of the Trails series that redefined the JRPG genre and set the Trails series on its legendary path!

In the demo version, players can experience the Prologue of the story. Any save data can be carried over to the full version of the game to continue the journey. (Some specifications from the demo may differ from the final version.)

Join Estelle Bright and her adoptive brother, Joshua, as they set out on their path as bracers, taking on tasks across the Rolent region in their father Cassius’ absence. When strange events begin to unfold on their quest to rise through the ranks of the Bracer Guild, they must quickly prove their worth in this gripping adventure of intrigue and peril.

Lose yourself in the beginning of this unforgettable 1st adventure in this trial version!
