The New Nintendo 2DS XL is hitting North America next week, but a color is missing from the launch lineup.
In North America, the Turquoise and Black New Nintendo 2DS XL will only be available for sale at retailers starting July 28, 2017. It’s the only region to be under this rule, as the Orange and White New Nintendo 2DS XL is sold alongside Turquoise and Black in Japan, Europe, and Australia.
However, not all hope is lost for Americans who absolutely want to purchase an Orange and White New Nintendo 2DS XL.
In Southeast Asia, the Orange and White New Nintendo 2DS XL will launch at retail on July 28. Since ASI/MDE (Asia/Middle East) Nintendo hardware are compatible with software sold in the Americas, this is the only option for Americans who want to play US region games on an Orange and White New Nintendo 2DS XL.
