Daimler Research Group has worked on a really fun project where they modified a Mercedes-Benz CLA to play Mario Kart.
The group first modified the MBUX infotainment system to make it run Mario Kart on the screen. Not only that, the Mercedes-Benz CLA’s steering wheel and pedals have been configured to become controllers for the game, so it’s like playing Mario Kart Wii but in a real car.
Besides these modifications, the interior lightning system is synchronized with the starting signals, the seatbelt will tighten if you crash your kart in Mario Kart, and whenever you receive a speed boost the air conditioning will blast at you.
