It seems this is going to be the same for Nintendo Switch Online. Nintendo’s official FAQ states My Nintendo members are allowed to use their Gold Points to redeem or partially offset Nintendo Switch Online memberships, but keep in mind they cannot be used for auto-renewal.
Can I use My Nintendo Gold Points to purchase the Nintendo Switch Online membership?
Gold Points can be used when purchasing a membership in the Nintendo eShop. They cannot be used for auto-renewal.
Note: 100 Gold Points = USD1
