Some sad news for those of you out there who are still using your WiiU to watch videos on Youtube.
Players who try to access Youtube on their WiiU web browser will now receive a notification that support for Youtube on the WiiU will be ending sometime “soon”. Presumably, this means that WiiU owners will no longer be able to watch Youtube on their device once support has ended, although no specific date was given.
The fact that Youtube is only just now getting around to pulling the plug on WiiU support is quite surprising, especially since they ended support for the 3DS Youtube app ages ago. That said, given that Youtube is already well supported on Switch, it is likely that few will be mourning the loss of support the WiiU.
