Some familiar ingredients made their way into a newly released book that had nothing to do with a certain Nintendo franchise and it led to a hilarious discovery.
Reddit user u/NoNoNo_OhHoHo made an interesting find while reading a recently released novel titled A Traveller at the Gates of Wisdom. The book includes a section about dressmaking and the type of ingredients necessary to dye dresses certain colors.
The list of ingredients from the novel is listed below:
As you might imagine, Hylian plants and Octorocks are a clear sign that these ingredients come from Hyrule and players of Breath of the Wild might recognize the ingredients as the materials needed for dye clothes red. So it seems that the writer was looking for a recipe to reference and instead found an online tutorial for how to do this in-game.
John Boyne, the Irish novelist behind The Boy in the Striped Pajamas book, is the author behind this book as well and has responded to the finding on Twitter with positive spirits.
So it looks like Breath of the Wild has not only influenced internet searches but also real life books! What’s your reaction to this hilarious unintentional inclusion of Zelda ingredients? Let us know below.
