Earlier today, during a Dengeki Playstation Livestream, the third batch of 10 games to be included on the Mega Drive/Genesis Mini was revealed.
The newly announced games for Japan’s Mega Drive Mini were revealed as follows:
- Ghouls ‘n Ghosts (Dai Makaimura)
- Street Fighter II’: Special Champion Edition (Street Fighter II’ Plus)
- Mega Man: The Wily Wars (Rockman Mega World)
- Golden Axe
- The Revenge of Shinobi (The Super Shinobi)
- Phantasy Star IV (Phantasy Star: The End of the Millennium)
- Beyond Oasis (The Story of Thor: The Successor of The Light)
- Puzzle & Action: Tant-R
- Party Quiz Mega Q
- Yu Yu Hakusho: Makyo Touitsusen
For North America’s Sega Genesis Mini, a slightly different lineup was announced (exclusives in bold):
- Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
- Street Fighter II’: Special Championship Edition
- Mega Man: The Wily Wars
- Golden Axe
- Sonic Spinball
- Phantasy Star IV
- Beyond Oasis
- Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
- Vectorman
- Wonder Boy in Monster World
Finally, it was confirmed that the last batch of 10 games for both versions of the mini console will be revealed on June 4 2019 during a special livestream featuring composer Yuzo Koshiro. We will bring more news once the full lineup of games for the Genesis and Mega Drive Mini is revealed on that date.
The Sega Genesis Mini and Mega Drive Mini will launch on September 19 2019.
