Earlier this month, The Pokemon Company announced that Pikachu would collaborate in a new music video with Kazuhito Kosaka AKA Pikotaro – the Japanese comedian famous for the Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen song. Well, now you can finally take a look at the bizarre duet for yourself!
The official Pikotaro YouTube channel has released the music video, which you can check out below. Titled “PIKA to PIKO” – it features Pikotaro himself attempting to translate all of Pikachu’s various cries into actual English…with mixed results.
“A dream collaboration with the world-famous “Pikachu”!
We wanted to make something special that will make everyone smile☺ and have fun at home as people worldwide are staying home this summer.
There are obviously gaps in the conversation between Pikachu and PIKOTARO, but you’ll definitely see them having a good time interacting with each other!
Let’s sing & dance with Pikachu and PIKOTARO♪”
