Following the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo fan and artist HertzBurst has come up with a concept of how a Nintendo Switch 2 Lite could look like.
A Nintendo Switch 2 Lite would have a similar form factor to the Nintendo Switch Lite – the two controllers are fully integrated with the console body in order to reduce cost, so you can’t detach them and can only play games in Handheld mode. However, it will include some improvements seen from the Nintendo Switch 2, such as larger buttons and sticks.
The console is also envisioned to have a 7.1 inch screen, smaller than the Switch 2’s 7.9 inch screen but a huge improvement from the Switch Lite’s 5.5 inch screen.
The Switch Lite was released in 2019 after Nintendo and Nvidia made improvements to the Switch SoC (system-on-chip), allowing it to perform more efficiently and boost battery life while occupying a smaller footprint. We can probably expect a similar timeline for Nintendo Switch 2 Lite, possibly launching as early as 2027.
