As some readers will know, there have been a recent spike of awesome fan-animations that re-imagine The Legend of Zelda and Star Fox in the style of Paper Mario. Well, the Paper hype train is still chugging on, and now it’s colliding with the world of a familiar blue blur!

As you can see below, one small-time animator is now taking a shot at re-imagining Sonic the Hedgehog as a Paper Mario style game too! It doesn’t exactly preserve the high-speed gameplay of the original – but it’s still fun to see the blue hero in such a cutesy style!
