Famitsu has released sales data for Super Mario Odyssey and Nintendo Switch hardware for the week ending October 29, 2017.
According to Famitsu, Super Mario Odyssey sold 511,625 copies during its first three days in the market in Japan (October 27 to October 29). The number includes sales generated from download cards and the Nintendo Switch Super Mario Odyssey set, but it doesn’t include sales made directly from the Nintendo eShop.
In comparison, Splatoon 2 sold 671,000 units when it first launched in Japan back in July. Nevertheless considering all factors, Super Mario Odyssey did very well, when we include the fact that some retailers went out of stock of the game at launch.
