Mario and Sonic at Rio Olympics To Be Removed From The Japanese eShop

Olympic mainstay title Mario and Sonic at the Rio Olympics will be taken off the virtual shelves in the Japanese 3DS and Wii U eShop next week on 27 December 2017 at 1000hrs JST. The game’s demo will be removed as well.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympics series have attracted quite a bit of fandom since its inception for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. No reason was given as to why the titles will be removed from the eShops.
