Previously, Nintendo announced a new video presentation taking place on 30 July 2019 – where Sakurai will reveal more details about the Dragon Quest The Hero DLC Fighter heading to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Chief among these details will be the DLC fighter’s release date – although it looks like Nintendo of Europe may have messed up the surprise already!
Following the announcement, Nintendo of Europe also posted an extra Tweet (see below, left) about Update 4.0 for the game – revealing that it would land on 31 July 2019. You can see this in the screenshot below.
It looks like this was unintentional, however – with Nintendo of Europe quickly deleting the Tweet. Soon after that, they re-posted the Tweet with a more general release window of ‘within 7 days’.
Could July 31 finally mark the arrival of Dragon Quest’s Hero in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? We’ll report back when we receive official confirmation from Nintendo in the presentation!
