Last month, developer Pocket Pair released Palworld, a monster taming survival crafting game that quickly drew attention due to its creature designs having strong similarity to existing Pokemon.
Now, Pocket Pair has announced that the game has crossed 25 million players since its launch, 15 million sales on Steam Early Access and 10 million on Xbox Game Pass. This figure is significant, as this means the game has surpassed the last reported lifetime sales figures for Pokemon Scarlet And Violet, which was at 24.26 million units in December 2023. What’s even more astonishing is that Palworld accomplished this feat in less than a month, whereas Scarlet And Violet have been out for over a year.
If accurate, crossing this milestone has arguably cemented Palworld as a worthy competitor to Pokemon, at least in the games department. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
