After months of anticipation, Pokemon GO connectivity is now going live for Pokemon HOME.
As the update rolls out, players will soon be able to transfer Pokemon directly from Pokemon GO to Pokemon HOME. In order to transfer, Pokemon GO players must spend “GO Transporter Energy”. The basic mechanics of this are described below:
- Every player can have a maximum of 10,000 points of GO Transporter Energy.
- Different Pokemon cost different amounts of energy to transfer, with basic Pokemon costing 10 energy, Legendaries 1000 energy, and Mythicals 2000 energy.
- Energy costs also increase if the Pokemon is Shiny, or if their CP is above a certain number.
- GO Transporter Energy regenerates at a rate of 1 point per minute.
- Pokemon transferred to Pokemon HOME cannot be transferred back to Pokemon GO.
- Certain Pokemon and costumes from Pokemon GO cannot be transferred.
In addition, players who transfer Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Pokemon HOME for the first time will also receive a Gigantamax Melmetal as a special gift.
