Nintendo of America has updated the product listings for Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s GO Eevee.
Both listings indicate that both games do not support cloud saves, also known as Save Data Cloud Backup. Cloud Saves allow Nintendo Switch Online members to upload their save data to the cloud.
“This game does not support Save Data Cloud backup. Not available in all countries. Internet access required for online features.”
It should be no surprise that the Pokemon Let’s GO games do not support cloud saves, as it could potentially be abused to clone Pokemon. This will probably be the same case for the Pokemon 2019 games. The other game that does not support cloud saves is Splatoon 2.
