The Pokemon Company has announced a new expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket.

The expansion is called Mega Rising and adds Mega Evolution to the game. It will release on October 30th 2025. It will come alongside a free update adding the following new features:

• New Share Feature – Players can give and receive one ♦–♦♦♦♦ rarity card to friends per day, including cards from the latest expansion.
• Expanded Range of Tradable Cards – Players will soon be able to trade cards from the latest expansions and booster packs. In addition to ♦–♦♦♦♦ and ★ rarity cards, ★★ and Shiny 1–Shiny 2 rarity cards will be eligible for trading.
• Improved Wonder Pick Feature – Unobtained cards from the latest expansion will appear more often in the wonder pick feature. In addition, the number of cards players currently own will be displayed on each card in Wonder Pick.
