Earlier this week, Paramount Pictures officially revealed Sonic’s new design for their live-action Sonic The Hedgehog movie.
Among many changes to his design to better match the games, Sonic has also received a new pair of shoes that look more similar to his iconic boots. Looking closely at the promotional posters for the film, fans noticed a rather interesting detail on the shoes: a familiar logo belonging to the brand Puma.
According to the official Puma Twitter account, the logo’s presence may be more than just simple product placement. In response to a fan’s question, the company seemingly teased that they are planning to officially release Sonic’s new shoes as a actual product for people to buy:
That said, we caution readers from getting too excited just yet, as company social media accounts can sometime be a bit misleading about these sorts of things. We will be sure to bring further updates should the shoes go up on the Puma store as teased.
What do you think? Would you grab a pair if the release becomes a reality? Let us know in the comments.
