Rayquaza Returns to Pokémon GO Raids Until September 2, Shiny Form Will Be Available

The Legendary Pokémon stars in Pokémon GO Raid Battles for a limited time starting July 31.

Pokemon’s official website has announced that Rayquaza will be featured in Raid battles for the entirety of August. And you’ll have the chance to catch a shiny version of this legendary for the first time.

The Sky High Pokémon returns to Pokémon GO Raid Battles from July 31, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT until September 2, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT.

The powerful Dragon type is much sought after for the incredible damage it can dish out as a party member, and this time, collectors should be just as excited as enthusiastic battlers. Very lucky Trainers may encounter Shiny Rayquaza for the first time during this reappearance, so make sure to battle the Legendary Pokémon as often as you can!

The same tactics you used to face Rayquaza in previous encounters will work here. It’s especially weak against Ice-type attacks, but Rock-, Dragon-, and Fairy-type attacks will also deal super-effective damage.

Are you excited for the possibility of Shiny Rayquaza in Pokemon GO? Let us know in the comments.
