Bandai Namco Entertainment, a video game developer and publisher close to Nintendo, may be working on Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch.
According to Tiago Sonobe, a software engineer at Nintendo, Bandai Namco Entertainment is currently co-developing Super Smash Bros. for Switch alongside Nintendo. Sonobe also claims that the game has a new rendering engine.
The tweets made by Sonobe were deleted shortly after it started spreading on the Internet as it may have been confidential information. In any case, it isn’t really surprising to see Bandai Namco working on Super Smash Bros. Switch, as they’ve helped out with the development of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
Other rumors earlier this year even suggested the company is currently developing Metroid Prime 4.
