A new rating for an unannounced Metroid game has seemingly been leaked in Brazil.
This leak comes from the July 2026 edition of Brazil’s Diario Oficial da Uniao (Official Gazette of the Union), which has since been scrubbed from the internet. Under the “National Secretariat for Digital Rights – Directorate for Security and Risk Prevention in the Digital Environment – General Coordination of Content Rating Policies”, a rating for a game called Metroid Ravenous was listed as follows (translated from Brazilian Portuguese)
- Title in Brazil: Metroid Ravenous
- Original Title: Metroid Ravenous
- Country of Origin: United States
- Production Year: 2026
- Producer(s) / Creator(s): Nintendo of America
- Distributor(s): Nintendo of America
- Proposed Rating: Not recommended for children under 10
- Assigned Rating: Not recommended for children under 12
- Content Descriptor(s): Violence
- Interactive Element(s): Not applicable
- Process Number: 08017.001246/2026-7
Necrolipe, one of the creators who shared the listing online, later claimed that the rating was provided based on “approximately 41 minutes of material”. If accurate, it is likely that the game is finished or close to finished, and we could possibly see an official announcement from Nintendo sometime soon. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
