The Kingdom of Hyrule is expanding, and it seems to have its sights at Universal Island Of Adventure’s Lost Continent in Orlando, Florida.
According to insider information from Theme Park University, Universal is apparently upping its game due to heavy competition from Disney and one of its plans is to replace the entire Lost Continent in Island of Adventure with a Zelda themed attraction.
This will come alongside other Nintendo related attractions such as Mario Kart, which would now be moved down to Universal Park instead of within Universal Studios Florida. Other IPs such as Kirby and Pokemon were in the plans too.
Still, if you expect to visit Hyrule anytime soon, the Zelda themed attractions are not expected to open until 2021, so there is still a bit of waiting. You can read the full article from Theme Park University here.
