The MPA Classification and Rating Administration has released its rating of the upcoming live-action Sonic The Hedgehog movie.
Predictably, the film has been rated “PG” on account of “action, some violence, rude humor and brief mild language”. This is of course not too surprising given Sonic’s target audience, as well as the “family-friendly” feel the trailers generally have.
That said, this probably also means the film will be avoiding some of the darker elements of the franchise that were present in the games, if the film includes anything significant from the games at all. We will be sure to report back on any other interesting tidbits about the film as we move closer to its release.
The Sonic The Hedgehog movie releases on February 14th 2020.
