Nintendo Switch 2 owners have found that it isn’t possible to join a GameChat session that is already in progress.
Nintendo of Europe’s official FAQ page for GameChat states that it isn’t possible to join an active, ongoing session. This means that you can only join a GameChat session that hasn’t started yet. It is unclear why this limitation is currently present, but many players are hoping that Nintendo will address this issue in a future update.
