A few days ago, gamers all over the world rejoiced after discovering that Blue Toad is a playable character in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
The joy may be shortlived though. It appears that if you choose to play as either Blue Toad or Yellow Toad in multiplayer, no one else will be able to play as Yellow Toad or Blue Toad. This is because Blue Toad is treated as a “costume” of Yellow Toad, so you will never see Blue Toad and Yellow Toad appear on the same screen ever.
This is considered a downgrade from the original Wii U version, which allowed players to play as Blue Toad and Yellow Toad at the same time.
