Earlier this week, a videogame rating from Taiwan had revealed that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time would finally continue the original N. Sane Trilogy. For now, however, it looks like Nintendo fans will have to wait to see if they’ll get to enjoy the game in the future.
Activision has officially confirmed the all-new game’s release for only PS4 and Xbox One in October 2020, with a fresh trailer (seen below). Sadly, there’s no mention of a Switch release in the works right now.
According to an interview with PCGamesN, however, Activision isn’t ruling out ports to other platforms outside of PS4 and Xbox One either. In particular, the publisher said it was currently ‘evaluating’ where else they could release the title.
“We are still evaluating additional platforms for a future date. Stay tuned for more information.”
While fairly vague and non-committal, at least this response leaves the doors open for a possible Switch release some day. We’ll report back if the release situation for this new Crash Bandicoot title changes in the future!
