Earlier today, developer DeNA announced a new partnership with The Pokemon Company to create a “a new and exciting” Pokemon game for smartphones.
As revealed in the company’s May 2019 financial results briefing, this new title is planned to launch sometime within the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31st 2020. Apart from that, nothing is known about what the game will be about, nor exactly when it will be released. It is possible that this is the supposed new mobile game the Pokemon Company was hiring for, but this is all just speculation until more details surface.
This new Pokemon title marks the sixth game to come out of DeNA’s partnership with Nintendo, which include the highly successful Fire Emblem Heroes, as well as the upcoming Mario Kart Tour. Adding The Pokemon Company into the mix, especially with their own stellar track record for mobile games, is a pretty exciting prospect to say the least. We will be sure to bring more information on this title as it becomes available.
