Last year, Japan’s Fukushima prefecture opened the nation’s very first Chansey Park as part of the ongoing Pokemon Local Acts initiative to beautify towns and boost tourism. Well, another corner of Japan will soon be welcoming its own Pokemon-themed playground as well!
The Pokemon Company has announced the construction of a “Slowpoke Park” in Japan’s Kagawa prefecture. As seen in the concept artwork above, the playground is planned to feature a Slowpoke-themed slide, swing, and more!
The first Slowpoke Park will open within Ayagawa Town in April 2023. Here’s a brief video from the press conference itself, where a mascot of Slowpoke was also present for the announcement:
