True to their statements of support, Nintendo has pushed out a new firmware updated for their ailing 3DS line of consoles.
That said, it seems that not much was changed in this latest update for the console. The patchnotes are rather short, stating only that there have been “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”. What exactly these improvements and changes are was not explained.
The bare nature of this latest patch for the 3DS joins mounting evidence that despite what Nintendo claims, the 3DS may soon be retiring from the console space after its many years on the market. Until then, we will be sure to bring the latest updates on the status of the 3DS and its variants.
