Earlier in June, we reported that dataminers had discovered data for ‘Shadow Pokemon’ in Pokemon GO. At the time, no one was really sure if the finding was some kind of nod to Pokemon Colosseum or Pokemon XD – but now it’s looking more likely than ever!
More datamining of the mobile game has apparently revealed actual models for these Shadow Pokemon! They take many cues from the Shadow Pokemon in Pokemon XD, and feature angry red eyes with a shadowy aura. Along with these models, dataminers also found logos that indicate whether Pokemon are ‘shadow’ or ‘purified’.

For now, it’s still not clear how these Shadow Pokemon assets will factor in Pokemon GO. We’ll report back when Niantic and The Pokemon Company confirm any new details in the future,
